What version of Disk Director is installed - was this current from the downloads section or a boxed version that may have an older version.  Double check to be sure as windows 10 support did not come until later:

I myself have never used Disk director.  From the context fo your screenshot it shows you have Windows 10 x64 and the bottom left corner seems to show "unsupported by current OS" which makes me think you may have an older build currently installed.

FYI, I stick to using Acronis True Image Home for backups and use other free partition software for parititioning.  Disk Director has not been updated since late 2015, whereas True Image products are updated about quarterly with minor releases, and annualy with a major release.

That said, it looks like you are booted into Disk Director from Windows?  Are you trying to backup, restore, or parition?  In most cases, restore or partitioning should be done when booted with the offline recovery media.  This is because the disk is in use and may be locked by Windows (or in some cases other applications like Antivirus software).  Ultimately though, if you have an older version of Disk Director installed, you should be able to grab the last release of Disk Director 3270 after registiring the product with acronis online and then downloading the latest release.  You can also download the latest version using the same link here and it should upgrade over the top of whatever version you have installed now (assuming it's l lesser version)

Thank you for your help, problem solved.
The problem was the link, which I received in email when I bought the full version.
On the version link was Build # 3223, and I assumed that it is the latest version of the program.

Glad you were able to verify the version and get the latest version with Windows 10 support!  Thanks for following up to confirm.
