USB drive not detected

My USB drives ( 20+ ) are mostly Seagate 3 TB and the logfile indicates the problem with the sector size, that I have read about in the forum messages.
Is it possible to correct this by deleting the partition and create a new partion and format it again?
Or is this a hardware problem of the Seagate disk itself?
It would be a lot of work to connect all these drives internally to the computer.
But, when I format them with the disk intern and connect them later with the external quickport, will DD then be able to see and work with the disk?
If this is not possible it means that DD will not function for me. A warning before buying the product would have been nice?
