Acronis

Thread needs solution

Hello Alex,

Sorry to know about the issues you've encountered. If you don't have a full system backup, I'm afraid the only option would be rebuilding the system. Looks like the drive has been encrypted with Bitlocker and now you're prompted to specify the Recovery Key to get access to the drive. I've found the following article https://support.lenovo.com/ru/en/solutions/ht502684 that provides information on how to find the Bitlocker Recovery Key, if you don't have it. Hopefully this helps

Good day. Computer corporate (therefore, it is critical to start an existing system, reinstalling is fraught with dismissal). Installed Win10 64.

Got a new computer, Lenovo ThinkPad T480S. Since only one disk was created, I decided how I usually decided to split the disk into 2 sections. After starting Acronis Disk Director and running all the procedures, I sent the computer to reboot. And that's it ... Next, the system does not boot .. Startup Repair is loaded with all its further me on recovering the boot. I tried everything. Nothing helps. Many menu items require a Recovery Key which I do not naturally have.

Tell me what you can do. The situation is critical.

If you have the bitlocker key, there is hope, but that key would normally need to be copied from the control panel / bitlocker tool in Windows to a safe location so it can be accessed with WinPE rescue media that has the bitlocker components added to it.

If the drive is encrypted, and there is no key to unlock, I don't see much option without a backup to revert to as Ekaterina mentioned.

I can't stress how important it is to take a full disk backup before making any major changes - a backup is your safetynet for recovering from failed systems or a situation like this.
