Win 2008 & Disk Director Server 10.0

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am looking to purchase Disk Director Server 10.0 for our Win 2008 server to resize some partitions. After looking through the following link on the Acronis site:

http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/products/diskdirector/requirements.ht…

It suggests only the following OS's are supported:

Supported operating systems

* Microsoft Windows® NT Server
* Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
* Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
* Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

Is this right, or has the site not been updated to reflect support for Win 2008?

If it is indeed true, can anyone suggest a product that can resize Win 2008 partitions?

Many thanks

 Hello,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

Acronis Disk Director Server 10.0 supports the following operating systems:

- Windows NT 4.0 Server Service Pack 6;

- Windows 2000 Server/Advanced Server Service Pack 4;

- Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (x32 and x64 Editions);

- Windows Server 2003 SBS.

The current versions of Acronis Disk Director do not support Windows Server 2008 or Windows 7.

After installing Acronis Disk Director 10.0 in Windows, you can create bootable media with a standalone version of Acronis Disk Director 10.0. You can work with hard disks containing any operating system by booting from the media you created.
