Win 7 64, bsod after start of disk director home 11
After succesful installation of Disk Director Home 11 (Home 10 failed) to my Windows 7 Prof . 64 system, I received a BSDO with "snapman.sys page_fault_in_nonpaged_area" after first start.
After this, the system wa no longer able to re-booted, so I had to run a recovery of the system-partiton.
Your suggestions are kindly appreciated.
Regards, Hans Knapp

Just finished recovering from having the same thing happen. Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit, had DD10 installed (worked perfectly), 'upgraded' to DD11, and kept getting BSODs every time I tried to boot. Had to roll the system back to last backup to fix it.
No other Acronis software installed.

Hello MudCrab,
your assumptions are right. There is a TI Home 2010 active on the system, that is responsible for two backup-tasks running each day (system and data-partiton).
If conflicts with TI 2010 are possible, woud you recommend to start with testing TI 2011 first and look at disk director 11 later on?

You could. Also check if TI 2010 is using the latest build (7,046).

Hello Glen Faires,
surprised to learn, that DD10 could be installed on WIN 7 Home Premium 64. I personally failed by doing this on WIN 7 Prof 64. Maybe my sysem environment is something special.
I tried to install DD10 in my new 7 Prof 64 system, the one that I used successfully in a WIN XP, my former system configuration, but this was not possible. Now under WIN 7 new problems are encountering.

DD 10 could be forced onto Windows 7 (especially when Windows 7 was new), but it is not supported and will very likely cause problems. One of the big problems people seem to have is that they can't successfully uninstall/remove it from Windows 7. This then causes problems because it's not compatible with newer versions of DD or TI.

After encountering probles with HDD 1, I recovered the system and installed TI 2011 in my WIN 7 Prof 64. Here already the installation process created a BSDO with "snapman.sys page_fault_in_nonpaged_area".
Summary:
- Install of DD 11 was successfully, but at start of the software BSOD with the error mentioned above. The license of DD 10 I have is worth nothing, as the sofware is not working wint WIN 7 Prof 64.
- In Installtation of new TI 2011 already crashes with same BSOD.
Recommendations are welcome before I change the vendor of system-software of this type.
