Windows 8 - again
There is a resolved post re Windows 8.
With all due respect, the situation is not resolved. Update 2343 to DD11 was issued in October 2010 and does not make the program compatible with Win 8. Article 31033 states that NONE of the DD11 variations works with Win 8.
The only resolution is a new version of DD (as happened with Win 7).
Another unresolved problem with DD11 is the lack of support for 4K HDD sectors. These have been around for well over a year and still no resolution of the problem.
No doubt this post will be removed just as my last one on the subject.

David,
I can understand your frustration. I also saw that thread and the post by Peter. I contacted him twice and expressed my concerns about it -- "new" is not over a year ago and it does nothing to resolve the Windows 8 problem. Didn't get anywhere with it...

Hello David Devon,
Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.
First I want to thank MudCrab and James F. supporting you.
Currently we have this post explaining the support of Windows 8 in Acronis Products. Unfortunately, there is no timeframe when a new update or version is available that supports Windows 8. If you want, please use this link to forward your request as feedback to our management team. Additionally I want to tell you that development of this product is not stopped.
Sectors with size of 4k are currently not supported. You will find more information in this article from our knowledge base.
Please be informed, that we have released an update for Acronis Disk Director 11 Home.
I have collected your concerns and forwarded them to our management team. I lock this thread for now.
If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know.
Thank you.
