 NoBoot,remove it with win98 install & remove utility, fdisk/mbr,no boot

manual rem,no boot;booted  Safe Mode, but config&autoexec Empty

It's very unclear from your post what the exact problem is. It seems Windows 98 won't boot, but without knowing what was done that caused the problem, it's hard to offer any suggestions.

Acronis also offers an ISO (CD) version of the MBR fixer. Have you tried it?
