Drive Monitor Reporting conflicting Informaton on a SSD

Thread needs solution

Hi im getting conflicting information from the Drive Monitor for my KINGSTON SH103S3240G SSD. I verified that the results from Drive Monitor Tool appear to be wrong by running the Manufacturer Tool Kingston Toolbox v2.0.7.A

The Drive Monitor Tool Reports this information.
Monitoring: S.M.A.R.T.

Power on time:
424 day(s)

Disk health: 80%.

Disk temperature: 212 °F. Temperature of the disk is above the alert level at 125 °F. Overheating can reduce the disk life span or cause a disk failure. Check that the drive has sufficient air circulation and the computer has proper cooling.

Hi Scott,

thank you for sharing this information! I'll foward your feedback to our development.

Thank you.

I have also noticed this problem with Kingston SSDNow V300 disc and others. For some reason, the temperature information is being misread by Drive Monitor and is reported as 100 deg C. The Kingston Toolbox shows the correct temperature, as does other monitoring software.
