[RESOLVED] Conflict report with Transcend Expresscard USB 3.0 and Toshiba Canvio external HDD

I discovered yesterday conflict with Acronis Disk Monitor and it took me 24 hours to locate the cause.

This is the report:

Configuration:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Lenovo Thinkpad laptop

Symptoms:
When Acronis Disk Monitor is enabled in the background, Toshiba Canvion external USB HDD is almost unusable. It reacts very slowly and completely freezes during copy operations.

The HDD is connected via Transcend ExpressCard USB 3.0.

The same problem isn't affecting Seagate Expansion HDD which is connected via the same connection.

When Toshiba is connected via regular USB 2.0 port, the problem is less extreme but still present.

Solution:
Disabling Acronis Disk Monitor to run in background cured all symptoms.
