Acronis Files Connect - macOS Sonoma support
Hi
I opened a ticket by following the steps on the support site on the following however it seems Technical Support ai chat bot is being a little rude in it's responses.
In short, macOS Sonoma was released 26th September.
So far, theres no product updates to Acronis Files Connect to support this new OS release.
When I asked Technical Support when Sonoma would be released all I received was a message from 'Jack S' to speak to our Sales contact!
After prompting a generic "I can confirm that support for macOS Sonoma is not a feature of Acronis Files Connect" was received with a further "The Acronis Mobility Technical Support Team doesn't have any information about this." received when prompted for a timeframe for when Sonoma support would be a feature of AFC.
It's concerning that a major OS revision isn't supported on release, something that I see also came up in another thread (https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-files-connect-former-acronis-ac…)
Thanks in advance

Hi Jose
To confirm I have seen the release notes, and have been regularly viewing said pages to see when the product is updated.
Will appreciate any updates as we're starting to roll out new hardware that will be installed from factory with Sonoma so it's fairly critical that AFC is updated or if the product is going to be abandoned that suitable notification is made to all impacted customers.

Hi again, Dave! After reviewing the topic, I can see that there's no ETA for the updates or the support of Sonama. As our engineer suggested, you can contact the sales representative or account manager to review the situation regarding the ETA. This is the standard procedure for products like Files Connect and other mobility products.
Best regards.

OK, I'll try and find out how to contact a sales rep (given all the usual options all point to tech support!)
You'd think new OS support would already be on the radar of software engineers and devs but guess not here?

Hello, Dave.
As far as I could see, in the near future, it probably won't be implemented for this specific product. For other products we have, it's already supported. However, your message has been forwarded to the team, so hopefully, it can be reviewed as soon as possible, and your feedback matters.
Best regards.
