Acronis Recovery for MS SQL can not see drive letter for Dell RD1000 Removable Hard Drive

Thread needs solution

I have a Dell Server using a removable hard drive. That drive is a Dell RD1000. I can see the drive and the drive letter from Windows. I can copy files to it and use it just like any other drive. If I launch Acronis Recovery for MS SQL and try to backup SQL data to that drive letter it does not show up in the Acronis software.

It does show up in Windows fine! I have worked around this issue by sharing the drive as a shared network drive. Once I do that Acronis SQL Recovery does see it and I can backup my data to it.

Can anyone tell me why Acronis does not see the native drive letter even though Windows Server 2008 OS does see it!

Thanks...
