Recovery for Microsoft Exchange

Thread needs solution

Hi I have installed the "Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange Agent" on my exchange server and the "Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange Management Console on my desktop.

I have managed to backup the Information Store and Mailboxes. When I check the Scheduled Tasks List I see "Success" as the status and I have tested restores from the mailbox backup.

When I check the Event Viewer / Application I see and error from Acronis Tasks Service

The description for Event ID 55 from source Acronis Tasks Service cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

 (0x410037)

    $module = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\DatabaseBackup\Fomatik\TaskService.exe"

 Tag = 0x89D2F61C24DD3C28

Should I be worried about this error?  How should I go about fixing this?

Thanks for any help I am new to this product!

Hello redGSRguy!

Welcome to Acronis Forum, we are glad you joined us!

I completely understand your concern and will be glad to assist you with it.

This error can be safely ignored. Usually it apprears when some tasks were incorrectly recognised and leave some traces in the registry. It doesn't affect the backup creation, but should you need to clear it out, you can do the following:

1. Remove all the existing tasks.

2. Delete contents of the below folder:

\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\TrueImage\Scripts

3. Download and run schedmgr.exe and issue the below command:

task zap

=> please note that if there are other Acronis products installed on the same system, their scheduled tasks will be deleted, too.

After that please recreate the tasks. This should help to resolve the issue.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Thank you for the prompt response! I will give it a try right after I finish eating!

I can't seem to find
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\TrueImage\Scripts
I am running windows 7 on my desktop and Windows Server 2007 on the exchange server.

Dear redGSRguy!

You are more than welcome, it's a pleasure to assist you!

I'm sorry for not speciying from the start that in Windows Vista, 7 and Server 2008 the path will be different. It should be

\ProgramData\Acronis\... etc.

I would appreciate if you could kindly keep us posted so that we could provide you with all necessary assistance!

Thank you!

There was actually nothing in the programdata\acronis\trueimage\scripts directory. I did delete the jobs and run that app. When I re-added the jobs I still got the error.

Since the error can be safely ignored I guess I will move on to my next task of imaging the server in case it fails.

Thanks for the help.
