Size of incremental backups in Acronis Recovery MS Exchange SBS
Hi,
I have searched the forum and the KB but have not found an answer to my particular problem.
System:
Windows 2003 SBS Server with Service Pack 2.
Acronis Recovery for MS Exchange SBS, build 220.
I have setup 2 tasks for backing up the Information Store of Exchange. The first task is a full backup which is started manually. The 2nd task is a automated task which should do an incremental update every night.
The size of the full backup is about ~10 GB, separated in 6 .TIB files each ~2 GB.
The incremental backup adds about the same size of data (~10 GB) also in 6 .TIB files to the already existing full backup.
What is wrong, that the incremental backup is almost the same (size) as the full backup?
Thanks in advance,
Nils

Hi,
I have now tried (for the first time) a task for backing up the mailboxes and not the information store. When I now do the incremental backup it really seem to do an incremental backup.
Why is the incremental backup on a information store not incremental is it should be? It seems to backup the whole information store again.
As I do not have an error or an error message, i can only provide you with the 3 lines from the event handler of the server where Acronis is running. But they could be regarding my backup tests.
Can you describe with a few words the difference of a backup of the information store and the backup of the (all) mailboxes including public folders?
Thank you,
Nils
