Uninstall error - The configuration data for this product is corrupt.

Thread needs solution

I'm trying to upgrade from 9 to 10 of the Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange and I'm having trouble getting the old agent uninstalled.

I saw a thread that suggested using the Windows Cleanup Utility, but it seems to have been removed.

Even though the Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange Agent shows up in the Add/Remove programs it does not show up in the Registry or the Programs directory.

Any help would be appreciated.

The Windows Cleanup Utility is no longer supported by Microsoft that is why I would recommend to contact our Support team directly so that we can help you with this issue.

I got the same error problems trying to uninstall Acronis Recovery Microsoft Exchange Agent
ERROR CODE: 2356

Followed the steps of stopping the services indicated in one of your articles ... did not help

Now the exchange server will stop working everyday in the wee hours of the morning presumably trying to do this backup .. who knows
This needs to be removed ASAP

If this issue is caused by a scheduled task which was removed from the program GUI but is still trying to run, I would recommend the solution from this KB article. Please use the instructions from this tutorial - Unregistering a separate missing task.
