Revive 2019 Image File

Thread needs solution

I have created an image file with Revive 2019 of a crashed 2TB HDD.  Now I want to write this image to a new HDD of 2TB.
In your help file you state "Right-click any object on the Step1. Select disk panel and select Open Image File on the shortcut menu".  That is not so because the selection only give "Create Image" or "Refresh".

My question is how do I open the image or write it to my disk?

Steve, welcome to these public User Forums.

To my knowledge there are no options to write out a disk image created by Revive 2019 to a new disk drive.

Revive 2019 is purely a data recovery tool and the option to create a disk image is to avoid further damage to the original source drive, allowing recovery to work from the disk image instead.

To open the image file, first make Revive 2019 full screen so that there is empty space shown below the list of drives found.

Right-click in the empty space (not on any exist drive entry) and you should get a drop-down menu with the option to Open Image that allows you to navigate to where the image is stored and select it.  Once selected, you can click on Next and use the Recovery tools provided.

Thanks Steve work exactly as stated recovered it, all is well.  Thanks also for the info as far as the actual use for the image goes.  I was trying to use Acronis True Image or any such software to write the image to disk, but no luck.  Now I can see why the image file is not an normal iso file but aim.  Keep up the good work awesome piece of software!  Have a prosperous 2022!
