Acronis Snap Deploy 3 USB bootable Media
I’m using Snap Deploy 3.0 Server on a bootable Media to create and restore Images. I have a new USB Memorystick (San Disk Cruzer micro, formatted with FAT32).
I’ve tried this with different computers with WinXP Pro and not a single one restored the image.
As soon as i boot the computer from the memorystick, an error occures.
“Acronis Loader will be started…
Acronis Loader: Fatal Error: Boot-Drive (Partition) not found…”
I used different Tools to create a bootable USB-Stick, but none of this works.
Any suggestions what i should do?

Hello R. Müller and Daniel,
Let me clarify some specifics of bootable flash drive creation:
Sometimes when you creating Acronis Bootable Media on a flash drive, Acronis products do not mark partition on the flash drive as active. As a result, one cannot boot from the flash drive with Acronis Bootable Media. So first of all I'd recommend you to recreate your bootable flash drive according to the instructions in this article.
If this does not help, I will need some additional information from you to proceed. Could you please clarify the following:
1. Exact component you're trying to create to your flash drive
2. Version of your main OS
3. Can you test if the same component burned to the CD works? It will help us to determine if this issue is related to particular flash drive configuration or to bootable component in common
Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

Acronis KB article 1526 regarding the use of linux kernel on a USB removale media device does not apply if you are looking to create Acronis Standalone Utility for Snap deploy version 3.0 .
Using windows XP I did the following:
Place USB removable media into your PC, format to FAT32
Start Acronis Snap deploy management console
> Tools
> create bootable media
>Acronis Standalone utility (decide if you want autostart)
> NEXT
> select drive letter of USB media device > NEXT
Your USB device should now be bootable (as long as your client pc has USB boot device selected in BIOS)
You can copy your tib.image over to the USB device depending on the size of image and your USB device.
Hope this helps, worked great for me! :-)
