Give us a built in fix for the NIC issues that plague newer machines on 3329. Manually updating the PXE server shouldn't be expected of customers.

This NIC issue has been a killer as we obtain new equipment over the past year. I have had to resort to other means as even adding drivers from the manufacturer for these new machines still arent working to load the NIC in Snap Deploy. It has been over 1 year since any major update to ASD 3, is this product abandoned?

Hello all,

Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. I will do my best to assist you.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience, we are currently working on releasing a new build for Acronis Snap Deploy 3 which will have all the latest hardware issues addressed. We have not abandoned this product.

I would really appreciate if you could still post about any technical issues in the appropriate section in our Snap Deploy 3 sub-forum.

I will also forward your feedback to the responsible department.

Thank you very much.

Really need to fix this issue of drivers for new hardware. Either update the images more frequently or allow the users to add additional drivers to the Acronis boot images so we don't have to worry about new hardware not being supported.

Currently testing build 2470 on a Dell Inspiron N7010 and neither the Master Image Creator or Snap Deploy Agent will recognize the NIC.

Hello Arthur,

Thank you for your message. I will certainly help you.

I appreciate your feedback and I will forward it to our Management team. You can always submit your feedback from this link in case you have additional suggestions.

As for the hardware issue, please use the latest build of Acronis Snap Deploy 3 - 3470 and if it does not work as well, please collect this report and contact our Support team. We offer technical support for the duration of the trial period.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Please fix standalone mode using eSATA.

I can use Image Creation mode with eSATA but I cannot deploy with eSATA as it simply is not seen by the Standalone option.

A few wishes:

The ability to assign a hostname to a MAC address in one template so that a deployment can run as Multicast, instead of having to create several templates, each with a different hostname, and having several deployments running as unicast at the same time.

Ability to connect to a domain where computers must be put into a specific OU.

Send Reboot command to computers x minutes before a scheduled deployment so that a deployment runs as planned.

Response back to the server once the deployment is fully complete, ie the computer is sitting on the logon screen.

For scheduled deployments, an option "last day of a month" would be useful, since not all months has a 31st.

Many Thanks,

Have a hostname to MAC address for the License Server.

Ability to free up licenses for computers no longer in use (maybe coordination with Active Directory).

Fix the 'Join to domain' feature.

Fix the reason why Dell PowerEdge R710 servers require downloading an image twice after configuring the RAID before the SID will change.

+1 Hostname to MAC address.

+1 Response back to the server once the deployment is fully complete, ie the computer is sitting on the logon screen.

Hello, Arthur.
We are pleased to announce a new version of Acronis Snap Deploy will be released this year. The development spent much time to make the product better and the latest Beta-build is available on our forum http://forum.acronis.com/forum/22118.

Please spend some time to check if the issue still persists in the product. We are looking forward for your feedback.

Is there still no support for GPT disk on SnapDeploy . I do not desire to change each new computer's disk from GPT to MBR. Is there a better workaround ?

Deployment speed. With one deployment = ~1-hour, with 10 deployments it takes 3-4 hours. This is awful. We should be able to image 20-30 at a time and have each batch take only an hour or so. Ghost could do this, why can't ASD?

Please do something about the MBR on Lenovo laptops. It is a pain in the butt to repair the MBR after a deployment on every laptop. We have been fighting this issue for a long time and quite frankly, is the reason that we are trying Snap Server. A clone image works great (True Image) but deploy does not.

Hello Jerry!
Thank you for your interest to the Acronis Snap Deploy product and joining our community. We significantly improved the quality of our deployemnt solution in the next version - Acronis Snap Deploy 4, which is in the beta testing now and coming on the market soon. Did you test it, is the issue reproduced with ASD4?
Thanks!

Please give us customers the opportunity to read what the error means. Unless the documentation so anyway on the Web
