Bootable Media won't pull DHCP
When using the bootable media to run either the Master Image Creator, Snap Deploy Agent or even Standalone Utility, the workstation will not grab a DHCP address from the DHCP server. I believe the bootable media boots to fast and the switch is still performing port fast checks etc...
Can a 20-30 second delay be added to the boot up process to allow the switch to do its negotiations etc...?

Under Network Adapters Acronis won't even pickup the eth0. We have brand new HP Probook 6550b and I can't image them. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Anton wrote:Hello Tom,
Thank you for posting. I will definitely help you with your question.
There is no need to add a 20-30 second delay to the bootable media because when it boots, it can either pickup the network settings automatically with a delay of 5 seconds, or, if you click anywhere on the screen and press OK, you will be taken to the configuration window.
For example, check this screenshot for the timeout window and this screenshot for the configuration menu.
If, for some reason or bootable media fails to detect network settings automatically, you can always specify them in the configuration window.
Please use page 45 of our User Guide as a reference as well.
If you run into any issues or have additional questions, please let me know.
Thank you.

Hello Kimberly,
I would like to welcome you to our forum and thank you for posting. I will definitely help you with this issue.
Most likely our bootable components lack the drivers for your network card. We can update them with the latest components to see if this resolves the issue. As for the other problem that you posted here, the same solution can apply.
I will send you a private message in a few minutes with all the instructions.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

Hi Anton,
We have exactly the same issues here with the HP Probook 6550b. Could we also have the updated components please and will that effect any of the older systems we are currently imaging? or is it just a PXE/component/Application update?
Kind regards
Sean

Just an update on this.
I've updated components supplied by Acronis support and they seem to have resolved the issue. I lost all my templates though during the upgrade (no real biggy) so had to recreate them but they deployed fine. Not sure if the old ones would still be compatible, but might be worth backing them up pre update and trying(?). My templates are stored in (W2K3 Server): C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis\DeployServer\Configs
Kind regards
Sean

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here. I understand your concern, and will be glad to help you.
The issue is caused actually by the lack of drivers in the bootable components of the PXE Server. This is a known issue, and we have a solution for it:
the problem will be solved in the upcoming update for Acronis Snap Deploy 3 (you may want to subscribe to our newsletter), and meanwhile we manually update the components. This issue is important for us, and we would like to have all the information regarding it stored in one place. Currently there's an open thread for this problem, and we would appreciate if you could kindly share you concerns, comments and questions with us there.
