Browse for the location where to save the created image

Thread needs solution

I am having an issue where I can no longer browse my network using Master Image Creator. My only options are My Computer and the local C: drive. I used to have Network listed and I could browse the Microsoft network for my Acronis server, which is where I want to save the image.

Hello Maurice,

It is difficult to make any assumptions from the information provided.
Can you please answer these questions:
1. What build of the software are you using?
2. What do you been by "no longer". What was changed and when was it working?
3. Can you please collect System report from that machine where you create master image and send it to me?
4. You are creating Master Image using bootable media or on the running machine?

Currently I can suspect that your NIC was not recognized in our Linux Based media but I will need the above mentioned report to verify my assumptions.

Here are the answers to your questions.

1) Acronis Snap Deploy 4 (4.0.540).
2) Nothing has changed except getting a new model computer from HP. All computers I have images for work, the new computer does not. I do not have the option to click on "Computers Near Me" when in Image Creator.
3) I will have to figure out how to collect requested log.
4) I am using PXE with Master Image Creator.

Attached is the system report you requested. I had to change the file extension from .z01 to .zip in order to attach it.

From sysinfo:
<4>Checking for network adapter...
<4>Network adapter not detected
So this is indeed a driver problem. Please contact our support and we may already have a build with drivers for your device or we might be able to add them in a special build for you. However if drivers are proprietary we won't be able to distribute them and you will have to use winPE based media.

I downloaded the network card driver from HP's website and was able to create an image booting from an ISO image on CD. It appears I am going backwards with technology by having to boot from CD instead of PXE.

So now I have an image of the computer but when I go to put that image back on a computer using User Initiated Deployment I get "Failed to initialize a network connection. Please check that you have valid network connections." What's the point of creating an image if you can't deploy it to other computers.

You can also upload your WinPE media to PXE server with one click when creating it.
Did you inject 32 bit drivers into WinPE. WinPE < 4.0 supports only 32 bit drivers.

I don't understand what you mean. My only options to upload are Upload PE Image to PXE and Upload Components to PXE.

Upload Components to PXE only lets me choose Acronis Snap Deploy 4 Agent, Acronis Snap Deploy 4 Master Image Creator and Acronis System Report.

Upload PE Image to PXE only allows me to upload a .WIM file, which I do not have. I only have a .ISO file.

Seems the latest build available for download through your websites is Build #540 (358.00 MB2012-10-26 00:00:00).
We're currently running a trial considering your product and facing this very same issue, could we please also get an URL for updated PXE-ready image by PM?

Where and how did you inject the networks drivers into the bootable media that was created ??? I never get the option to add any network driver ... what does it help if I get to add the "server" IP address if it doesn't have the network drivers ?

Hello James,

you can add custom drivers while creating of WinPE media.

I've also sent you a newer build of Acronis Snap Deploy 4 which might help to solve NIC detection issue.

Thank you.
