Dell Latitude E5510

Thread needs solution

Hello, I've used Snap Deploy on quite a few different Dell machines but it just does not seem to like the Latitude e5510. I have been seemingly successful at taking the image but once I try to start the image (as soon as I press OK to deploy), the target computer reboots. I've tried 3 different boot discs up to build 3329. The management console is also running build 3329. I'm not sure what build the OS deploy server is running but I have updated it within the past 3 months.

Is there any known hardware issues with the Dell Latitude e5510? I have a few of these that I need to image ASAP so any help will be much appreciated.

Hello Jody!

Thank you for finding time to report about the issue. I understand how inconvenient the situation is, and will be glad to assist you.

I've checked the information you've provided and found no known issues with the Dell Latitude e5510, so the cause should be something else. The reboot of the target machine can be caused by several reasons:

  1. Lack of free licenses in the License Server (or bad connection to the License Server)
  2. Faulty network connectivity
  3. Glitch in the OS Deploy Server

Thus in order to localize the issue, please, first of all please check whether there are any free licenses in the License Server. Please note that in case you have Acronis Snap Deploy 3 Upgrade licenses, you need to have the same number of Acronis Snap Deploy 2 licenses loaded to the license server.

Should there be sufficient free licenses, please reinstall the License Server (preferably to another machine).

Should the issue still remain after reinstalling the License Server and reconfiguring the product, please gather the following information.

  1. Screenshot of the License Server
  2. OS Deploy Server logs
  3. Acronis Snap Deploy Agent Operations Log
  4. Wireshark

submit a case with the information attached, and let us know it's number.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Thanks for the reply. I've updated to build 3470 and took a new image of the full disk (instead of just the partition) and this fixed the issue.
