Deployment with bigger Imagesize fails

Thread needs solution

Hello,

i have one server on which DHCP,DNS,AD and Acronis are installed. I have three machines licenses for PC and if i deploy one image with a size of 22GB via multicast everything works perfect. (Speed approx. 240MB/s)

Now if i try to deploy another image to the same clients with a filesize of 100GB, the deployment just resets after 2 Minutes. The speed of the deployment stays the same (ca. 240MB/s) and everything seems perfect at first, but suddenly the clients just go black for 1 sec and the return to the agent screen and they are waiting for a deployment again.
The images where taken from the same computer and everything is the same, beside the image size.

In the logs of the Server i have the same error for every client:
(my server is on german and so i will try to translate the error message in english)

Code: 1 (0x340001)

Field: $module: "osd_server_vs_1416"
Message: something like: There was a timeout while receiving data. The multicast-content was blocked . Please try to deploy via unicast

I already tried to deploy again with a smaller image (22GB) -> no problem
I already tried another image with a imagesize of 140GB -> same problem
I already tried unicasting to the clients -> no problem but i want to use multicast
i already tried to google the problem and to search the forum - no result
Now i will try to use another switch just to see if the switch has problem. Unfortunately all of my switches do not support igmp snooping, so i need to use this one switch with igmp for the performance.

Does anybody had the same error?

Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Ivan

Hi,

just wanted to inform everybody that i found the problem. The problem was the switch i was using dlink 1100-16 .It supports igmp but it has a problem with bigger images. When i use the switch HP V1910-16G everything works fine.
