Deployment to different subnet

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to know if it is possible to deploy OS to PC that is located in different subnet. Let me explain myself.

Snap deploy 4 server is located in 10.0.0.0/24 network with 10.0.0.3 IP address. There is other network - 10.2.0.0/24 where target PCs are located.
Routing is static. Networks are being served by different DHCP servers. When im trying to boot target PC from network Im getting "no boot filename" error.

Do I need to set up DHCP options 66 and 67? Or DHCP relay?

Thanks in advance! Sorry for bad English.

Hello RoSSer.

Thank you for your post!

As your target machine and Acronis Snap Deploy 4 OS Deploy Server are located in different subnets, I would like to suggest you three ways to resolve the issue:

1. Please create WinPE-Based Acronis Bootable Media or Acronis Bootable Media

After this you will be able to do offline deployment of the operating system.

2. You can also install Acronis PXE Server in another subnet.

Please follow this link. Here you will find complete information how to install and configure the PXE server.

3.  You can install one PXE server but please make sure that it is configured per these instructions. You do not need to configure Wake-On-Lan if you do not need to wake your machines.
