Error 0x340000

Thread needs solution

Hi, I am using the Snap Deploy demo and I can't deploy the image I made successfully.

The client pc has a WD 320GB advanced format drive which is running XP Pro and has 3 partitions. I've run the Acronis/WD Align Tool successfully and made an image of the drive with the master disk creator. When I try to deploy it quickly gets to 4% then the client pc reboots. (I'm using boot agent cd)
The log says:

Also I noticed, although this may be irrelevant, when loading the Acronis Align Tool it says "MBR sector is incorrect" right before the GUI loads. Blink and you''l miss it. It said this before and after aligning. I wondered if that could be related to this problem?

Update: I've tried installing windows 7 on the client pc also with multiple partitions. This also fails. It reboots when the deploy server hits 4%, which only takes a few seconds.
I've also tried setting the client to ahci but this made no difference.

Regards

Matt.

 Hello Matt,

Than you for your post. I will be happy to assist you with this problem.

I could not find any known issues that would correspond to your description and that error message, so you have to check the circumstances and provide us with more information about the failure so that we try to reproduce it.

  1. What is used as source location? Try a locally attached USB drive or internal drive with the image.
  2. Provide the Acronis Report created from the Acronis Snap Deploy 4 bootable media on the source PC so that I can check the partitioning.
  3. Check the deployment in following cases:
  • Only one partition in the image. Deploy with resize.
  • 3 partitions in the image. Deploy without resize.

Attach the report to the thread and provide the deployment settings for the test-case.

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
