Image not being deployed
I created an image using Acronis Snap Deploy 4 and saved it to another server with the proper network credentials. When I try to deploy this image through a deployment task that I created, it starts then stops and says that the target PC is idle. I cheked the deployment view log and it shows error code 3,407,882 (0x34000A), module 52, message "Failed to start multicast session on FileServer" The software has been reloaded several times on this server and same problem. The server and target PC's talk to each other because they boot up through the PXE server (same box) . I can see the target PC with IP address in the Management Console. Any thoughts as to what to do next? Or has anyone elsae run into this problem.
Server is running Microsoft Server 2008 R2 and has all current updates.

Nope, reinstalling Snap Deploy without the PXE server didn't work.

I am having the very same issue as well, and I can't get around it. I look forward to a solution!

I spent three hours on the phone with Acronis Support yesterday, and my representative was very helpful! It turned out that, in the end, my server had two NICs and one of them did not have a live LAN connection plugged in. For some reason, the Snap Deploy Management Console was using the NIC with no internet connection to broadcast the deployment! We disabled the extra NIC and all errors went away and the imaging was a great success. I hope this helps!

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your comments.
Jeff, KB the article has to do with the incompatibility between Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 PXE Server and Acronis Snap Deploy 4 OS Server.
For everyone, I would really appreciate if you could check the following KB article that deals with the issue which has the following error message:
"Failed to start multicast session
Failed to connect to FileServer"
If you need additional help please let me know.
Thank you.

I have the same problem: event code="3407882" id="56" level="5" message="Failed to start multicast session on FileServer." module="52"
I have a win7 machine with a single NIC. I have reinstalled Snap Deploy 4 - no help. I have had the firewall turned off - no help. This all work last year, same set win 7 machine, same image to be deployed, same lan, switch, IP address. New clients which all get DHCP IP addresses and have identified the Static IP on the WIN 7 machine. Pings work to client. I still think this may be some Windows firewall issue, but who knows. No PXE server.
This problem has cause me to have a very bad week!
