Images is bigger than data

Thread needs solution

Hello!

I hope someone can help me!

Earlier creating images with Acronis Snap Deploy worked fine.

By creating a new image the following error occured:

Although the data needs about 40GB diskspace only, the imagesize is about 119GB.

It’s the complete HDD-capacity.

Why does this happen? Where and how can I change settings?

Here are screenshots:

The first shows, that the image is as big as the data:

The second shows, that the complete space is required, the whole area is grey.

And there is a red “C“. What does it mean?

What kind of information do you need also?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hello, Stefan

That red sign means that there is a problem with file system on the disk C:. Before you create a new master image, check the disk C: using the native Windows' tool.

To do so, go to Computer -> Right-click the disk C: and select Properties -> Open the Tools tab -> Click the Check Now button -> In the dialog window, tick both check boxes and click Start -> Click the Schedult Disk Check button -> Restart the system and wait for checking completion.

After that, you can start creating a new master image.

Best regards.
