Imaging 40 computers should be eaiser - what am i missing

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I just pushed an image to 40 computers last night. These computer had the agent on them all were showing ONline. I prepped the image to use multicast at the highest speed, most of the details were default. The names were set in individual settings ip’s by DHCP using machine licenses. I manually started the image and they management client shows them starting some restart into offline a few show ready and it all takes an hour. If i kill the management process and restart it I will see changes. The deployment process goes back to idle and seems to have stopped I can choose to run it again and it kinda picks up where it left off. Eventually they all get into the right state and the image happens but its a painstaking process. What am i doing wrong?

using server 2012R2 to image all sub programs and image reside on that server. using trendnet gigibit switches, imaging windows 8.1.

Thank you

Don

Hello,

Unfortunately, it is impossible to say what exactly happened without analysing logs. Make sure that your network supports Multicast and is configured properly. Is the issue reproduced if to use unicast mode?

Best regards.
