Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E530 - Blue Screen after Deployment

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have encountered a problem when imaging Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E530 laptops, I created a master image and stored it on a shared drive on the network, I made sure to have the management console installed and set up on a server on the network.

I then got another laptop, exactly the same as the one which the master image was taken from and put the snap deploy agent disk in and boot it up while making sure to add the MAC address to the management console. The laptop picks up a valid IP address and the server sees the laptop as "ready".

I then proceed with the deployment to run now and away it goes, after an hour or so the server displays the deployment as successful, I then reboot the laptop which boots past the BIOS and then I am presented with a black screen with a blinking cursor.

I then tried using the standalone deployment disk, this worked with some of the laptops, however two of the laptops after completing the deployment from a USB HDD fail to boot and a blue screen flashes up on the screen, the laptop then reboots straight away and continues this loop. Fixing the MBR did nothing for this and any of the other windows 7 repair options do nothing also.

I would greatly appreciate any help that can be provided.

Thanks,

Jervis

having the same issues with Lenovo ThinkCentre M92p and Lenovo Thinkpad L430...captured a good image and deployed it and once reboot happens I have the black screen with blinking cursor. This only seems to happen with lenovo computers for me...to test it I grabbed a master image from an old dell machine I have here and deployed it to another like machine and everything worked as intended.

Only fix have currently found is to reinstall OS and manually set up the machine
