MBR getting corrupted randomly

Thread needs solution

I image various HP models and some Lenovo. I create my master images using the exact model as the machine I image. I never need to use Universal Deploy but I have my templates set to "occupy entire disk space". I am having issues mostly with my HP Prodesk 400s and 600s with a Seagate 500Gb disk. After reboot, the  MBR will be corrupted and I can fix it using a Windows disc but I am trying to determine if I need to do something different in Acronis to help prevent this issue. Any thoughts anyone? I do not believe these machine have been syspreped prior to my master image acquisition.

Jason and I are working on this via PM....

It appears that there may be more to this with the particular drives.  Would also suggest trying to restore withotut the "occupy entire disk space" adn then extending the remaining amoun in Windows disk management and see if the behavior still exists.

Hello,

The "Occupy entire disk space" option is enabled by default, I'm not sure that it may cause such issue. But it makes sense to disable it.

Also, please try to do the following:

1. Check the system disk with CHKDSK C: /f command on the source machine before imaging;

2. Create a new master image of the system;

3. Deploy the system with enabled "Occupy entire disk space" option.

Best regards.
