new hardware with no CD or network

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I've been trying to deploy to one of Dell's "New XPS 13" models. It has two USB ports, no external drive and no wired NIC besides a USB dongle.

A couple of questions -
I don't think there is a PXE boot for the wireless card. Can I make a snapdeploy USB flash drive out of PE media and add USB 3 and the Dell DA100 drivers to it?

Optionally, I tried to make a standalone deployment image from SnapDelpoy 4 on a flash drive and I got the message "invalid partition table". If I update to SnapDeploy 5 will this issue go away? Or are there additional steps to update the standalone image?

Has anyone gotten a "New XPS 13" (2015/Broadwell chipset models) to boot and what did you do to make it happen? Is this hardware supported by SnapDeploy 5?

At this point I need to get the system out, so I'm building this one from scratch, but I want to figure this out for future work. It's the first machine I've worked on with no built in NIC.

Thanks
-Derek

Hello Derek,
yes, you can create a WinPE-based bootable media on USD.
As for the issue with "invalid partition table", I would recommend you to check your drives for errors and then download a trial version of Acronis Snap Deploy 5 to make sure that it works in your environment.
