No free space on Volume? Long deployment times..
Hello,
I use Acronis Snap Deploy 4 to deploy to capture and deploy images on two computer models:
Dell Optiplex 3010
Dell Optiplex 3020
Please view my file attachements.
The first attachment is for the Optiplex 3010 which shows the NTFS volume as having 202 GB free space. This is correct. Deployment speed is normal (1-2 hours)
The second attachment is for the Optiplex 3020 which shows the NTFS volume as having 0 GB free space. Why is Acronis assuming the volume as full? Deployment for this image is extremely long (4-5 hours)
This seems to be causing my deployemnt times to increase signficantly for the Optiplex 3020. When the image is done deploying, Wndows shows the used amount of disk space as 45 GB, which is correct.
The last attachment shows the captured image file sizes for both images. You will see that there is not much of a difference in size.
My thoughts are that the zero free space on the NTFS volume for the Optiplex 3020 image are the cause for the long deployment times.
Any resolution or suggestion?
Thanks.
Extra info:
BIOS settings are identical on both models.
Both set to AHCI

Looks like the deployment to the 3020's is still extremely slow. It appeared that Disk Space Utilization "As in the master image" fixed the problem temporarily but now I am thinking this is network related.
I have Cisco 3560 PoE 24 port switch. It is currently trucked at 100Mb/s.
Switch is set at auto-negotiate.
When deploying with Acronis, snap deploy has been used with full 100, half 100 and auto.
Using CAT 5e cables.
I have tried deploying with both Mutlicast / Unicast.
Current deployment time for one Optiplex 3020 is 6 hours for a 30GB image (normal compression)
Suggestions?

Specs for my Acronis server are attached. I am well beyond the recommended requirements. Please note that this is a virtual machine.

Hello Steven,
sorry for the delayed answer!
Which Acronis Snap Deploy 4 build you are using? I've send you a PM with a download link to the latest build with updated drivers in Linux media.
Please let me know if it helps.
Thank you.

Recreating the image and updating Acronis fixed the issue.
Thanks
