Please help me understand licensing for Snap Deploy
I have purchased snap deploy 4, and have 1 server, universal, machine and machine universal.
If I want to be able to create a deployment task, to image a total of 5 machines, what do I need?
I assumed I would need "1" server license, as the machines are only going to be deployed once, then placed in to the field.
I would then rinse/repeat - 5 more (different) machines to be deployed.
Is that correct, I need 1 server license?
Thanks!

But if I deploy 5 machines, put those out in the field - never to be deployed again theoretically, then need to deploy 5 more, is that still 5 server deploy licenses (deploying 5 at a time)?

Hello Scott,
in any case 1 machine = 1 license.
If you want to perform a deployment to the same machine only once, you may want to use deployment licenses.
Thank you.

Update- I spoke with support and it appears I now understand the licensing:
Machine license = multiple deployments for one machine
Deployment license = a single deployment for a machine, once used not able to be used again (used up)
What does not make sense, is why would you ever use the licenses as deployment licenses... At least machine licenses give you the ability to re-deploy if a machine does in fact come back needing redeploy.
So in my case, I need to deploy 1 time to 200 machines, I need to purchase 200 copies of snap deploy (200 x $157)?

Hello Scott,
pricing for machine licenses you can find on our website and price quote for deployment licenses for your environment you can request by our sales.
Anyway, deployment licenses cost less than machine ones.
Thank you.
