[Resolved] Fixed: Build 3501 hangs deploying image on HP 6200

Thread needs solution

If I boot from bootable media and choose stand alone utility deploying an image works fine. When I try via pxe, the workstation hangs on the blue screen "processing please wait"

If I remove the quiet boot option, the kernel logs a "network adapter not detected" error message in /var/log/messages

The system has an Intel 82579LM NIC..

I don't have this problem on any of the other HP machines we have here 6000, 5800, 5700, 5000...

Are the drivers on the bootable media more recent than the ones included in the pxe bootable media?

Thanks,
Jason

Updated: it seems the 82579 should be supported - from the release notes - "Intel 82579LM Gigabit Network card (8086:1502) is now supported."

Ok - I had previously upgraded to build 3501 and re-created my templates and the custom deployment template.

To correct the problem I had to completely uninstall all Acronis components - delete left over files in the "program files" directories and left over registry entries..

I reinstalled all components, re-created my templates and the custom deployment template.

All seems to be working fine now..
