Thread needs solution

Hello Rick,

Thank you for posting your question in our forum.

I checked your account but could only find old trial registration. Can you please give me information that is more detailed?

  • What Acronis product you are using?
  • What build number does it have?
  • In what situation exact your problem occurs?

Please ensure that you work with the latest available build of your product. You can download the latest build from your account, where your products are registered.

If there is anything else, we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

Sorry Peter i see i logged on with the wrong account.

We work with acronis snap deploy 4. Latest build. ( i allready installed latest version to check if it helped with the NIC problem.)

The laptop can boot via pxe.
I can load master image creator, however, i can't save to network adress because i can not see workgroup.

If i boot with pxe to user initiated deployment i can choose wich file i want to deploy. I can see Linux running, then, i get the 'configure network post' and if i click ok it just doesn't pop up (the config i usually have) and the deployment fails (when i don't click configure or rather 'ok' @ the post the deployment also fails.

I've had some problems with newer laptops on snap deploy 3 as well and after i got new drivers from your side it worked so i figured it's a NIC driver issue.

Greetings

Hello Rick,

Thank you for your reply.

When using Acronis Snap Deploy 4.0, you can use WinPE for your boot image. You can see how to do this, in our Online Help. The advantage of this step is the ability to add windows 32-bit drivers into the WinPE boot media. That enables you to boot any hardware that is supported by Windows 32-bit drivers.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hey Peter,

Thanks for your reply. I'm however not really willing to create WinPE images. Acronis SD 4 runs smoothly and i think that creating images via master image creator etc. is working quite fine. I don't think that running another version of images is gonna work for us. Why would i go trough all this hussle? I would really like to keep the same images instead of installing all kinds of software on our rental laptops.

So, if there would be another solution for this please inform me. I'm glad that finally asd4 is running stable and now i have to install all kinds of software to get new laptops working....

kind regards,

Rick van der Boor

Hello Rick van der Boor,

Thank you for your reply. Please accept my apologies for the delay.

Last week Acronis launched the new build 540 for Acronis Snap Deploy 4.0. Many issues where fixed in the new build. See list of changes.

I suggest downloading and updating your Acronis Snap Deploy 4.0 environment. You should uninstall the PXE Server before and install this fresh. The latest build you can download from your account.

Please upload the PXE after upgrading and check if your problem persists.
