Samsung N210 Plus

Thread needs solution

HI,

I'm having problems running Snap deploy on a samsung N210 Plus Windows XP Pro netbook. I've used this software previously and have had issues with NIC Drivers and general setup issues.

When i start the computer up and select PXE boot i get the Acronis splash screen - Login which is fine but as soon as i pick "Master Image" or "Snap Deply" the computer just loops round after 10seconds and wipes my Boot Record.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the boot.ini or possible hard drive driver issue? Any ideas please let me know as i've purchased 250 licenses ready to image these netbooks.

(Environment) - I've actually tested other machines apart from the Samsung and it works great.
-Server 2003 - Acronis PXE server, deply mangement
-Router - DHCP server

samsung N210 Plus (originally had Windows7 on - reloaded with XP Pro)

Thanks

Just a quick update to this - I've done some testing and it's only the XP laptops that have the problem, the untouched windows 7 ones work fine. This has to be something to do with the drivers?

I have a Samsung 210 Plus with Windows 7 Starter (i.e. as supplied). I just installed the 2011 Netbook version (through an update option from a previous version). According to the Acronis site the Samsung has an Intel chip (Atom 450) that works OK. After install I see the Schedule Helper and the True Image Monitor running in the Task Manager. However first time used (in order to create a backup of the system) it didn't even open, I just got a "We have closed" message i.e. it crashed. How do I fix it? Or did I do something wrong, already?
