SD Build 3470 and intel H61 chipset based MBs failed to boot\deploy
Dear sirs,
recently we bought brand new intel H61 based workstations.
we tried several MBs Asrock H61M-VS and Asus P8H61
on H61M-VS it fails to boot completely - stalls on snap deploy client load phase with "processing... please wait"
on Asus P8H61 client is able to load but still fails on deploy phase with
host failed to deploy, failed to map BIOS disk 1
playing with bios settings (BTW bioses are with GUI now) in the sata controller section does nothing.
please assist!

Hello,
The same Problem came up to me, using a brand-new ASUS P8H67-M Rev.3 Mainbaord. Looking into Linux-debug-File (acronis-linux) showes,
that NO SATA-BIOS-Disk is currently mounted ! (But, still there is a SEAGATE-SATA Disk connected to the Mainboard and working normal
under Windows)
But it works, using a IDE-Harddisk. So, it seems, that Acronis-Linux has a problem to deal with that new Cipset "Sandy bridge" e.g. SATA-HDD´s,
because, this is the first time, this problem occored. I am using a number of different (older) Mainboards.
No better result, on trieing the other SATA-Ports or another SATA-HDD.
Any solution to hear from Acronis ???

Vladimir,
you should not use the "IDE-compatible"-Mode (BIOS), but the "ENHANCED SATA MODE", when using a SATA-Harddisk.
That seems to work (with ASUS P8H67-M), no more errors on starting the Deployment.
But, this is a bug, anywhere in the acronis-software; Windows is booting normal in both modes (IDE / Enhanced SATA)
So far - this ist it, what i found out !

Hello, Vladimir.
We are happy to hear that ASD4 Beta build works perfect. We highly appreciate if you spend 1 minute and pass our survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3JGG5JS . You may leave the quote about ASD4 if you want. We will place that quote on our web-site.
Please note that a new Beta-build is available to download (build 203).

Vladimir obviously is not trying to use SD4 beta on a Dell 990 or E6420. Not being able to boot pxe and image is not my idea of working perfectly and SD3 build 3501 has so many issues for us on these machines I am not even sure where to start.

I don't know what is happening with this particular thread, but I urgently need help with this same issue.
I have brand new Dell 390 PC's to deploy within our organisation and I cannot do that currently because firstly the build 3501 boot disk does not work with the NIC that these PC's have firstly - when you get to the boot screen (where you can configure the network card), there are no options at all, it will let you enter the server IP address only. If you do proceed, it just sits there on the next screen waiting.
I tried this same PC with a build 3329 boot disk, this unbelievably works and has the full config for the network card, showing that it works - BUT (as always with Acronis) this does not work either as it keeps failing saying Failed to map BIOS disk '1'. Now the hard disk is actually disk 0 technically, but you can't specify this in the deployment! I don't have any hard disk options within the BIOS to change to compatibility mode or anything else, so what am I supposed to do now! ?? 40 PC's to deploy and I can't do a thing !!!
YET MORE frustrations and serious disappointment with Acronis again on top of all the other problems we had in the past.
