Snap Deploy 3.0 (3329) Standalone, HP Elitebook laptops, Acronis Loader hang.

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I've been having a problem getting the Stand Alone Utility to load past the selection menu. It always hangs during the Acronis Loader. I've scoured the forums and google looking for a solution and there was one that could have possibly worked but the download links on the acronis website were gone.

I updated everything to 3329, tried building an iso from the workstation deployment server, and tried the iso on the website. Everything hangs/freezes on the Acronis Loader. The models of the HP laptops are Elite books 8530p and 6930p. Has anyone else had this issue or fixed it?

Thanks.

Hello Eric!

Welcome on Forum and thank you for finding time to report about the issue, I will be glad to help you!

Since the Acronis Bootable Rescue Media downloaded from your account freezes, we can try another *iso. It was build on another loader and should resolve the issue you have faced. I just sent you PM with the link and instructions and would appreciate if you could kindly test it.

I would appreciate if you could kindly keep us posted regarding the case. And should you have any additional questions or concerns - just let us know, we'll be glad to help!

Thank you!

Hello,

I am having the same issue with booting to an HP EliteBook 6930p. I can use the iso with other Lenovo thinkpads just fine, but it just hangs with the HP. I am using SnapDeploy build 3183. Same issue as above, hangs on Loading.

Hello Dana!

Thank you for finding time to join us on Forum, it's really good to have you with us. I understander your concern and will be glad to help!

First of all I'd like to mention that you're using an outdated build, the latest one is 3329. I would advise you to register you product's license here, and after that download the latest build from here.  Remove the previous version from the machine and install the latest build - it may help as well.

I will also forward you the links with instructions to the updated bootable media, so that you could test it and see whether it resolves the issue.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
