Snap Deploy 5 Trial PXE Fail
Hi all,
I am new to the forums and testing out the Snap Deploy 5 software for imaging. I was able to create a successful master image to use for imaging multiple pcs. The problem I have is when I go to PXE boot and shoot the master image to the pcs they come back as failed and say License server not installed. I have installed the license server and other modules on my server. One thing to note is the server is on a different subnet than the pcs being imaged. Is this why I am unable to image the pcs from the server? Do they need to be on the same subnet? The server and pcs can see each other on the network though. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks for that information I am in the process of testing it out. I am running into a different issue now where it says verify file signature failed after I Reboot the pc that I want to image and right below it is says Ramdisk error. Am I doing something wrong? I tried doing the following to image a new pc.
1. Hooked up pc to the network.
2. Logged into the new pc with a temporary admin local account
3. Installed Acronis agent
4. Rebooted pc and forced to start with IPV4 network boot
5. Received error messages above
Maybe I am missing something since this server is able to see the new pc on the other subnet?

Hello jah8887,
If you are getting the error message Unable to load initial ramdisk, I'd suggest reading the following discussions which seem to deal with similar issues

I'm not sure, but suspect a possible network issue once the preboot OS is loading. PXE uses different drivers to initialize the connection to the deployment server. After PXE connects, the prebiit image is initialized and loaded into the local systems memory. At this point, the preboot OS requires different drivers than PXE.
Could you build a winpe.wim with the current adk 1809 and try deploying with it instead as a test?
As another network test... Are you able to connect to the server manually from snapdeploy rescue media (linux or Winpe)?
Can you try unicast mode instead of multicast mode as well? Your network may not allow multicast broadcasts, especially since your client and server are on different subnets.
