Snap Deploy error when pushing an image

Thread needs solution

We are current using verion 2.0 of Snap Deploy (I know...an upgrade is coming, but I can't do that just yet). We have used this system numerous times to push images out to systems (we used this morning in fact). We have just tried to push an image to a system and we get an erro stating "Failed to create parition structure". This image works fine on other systems. It also works fine if we remove the hard drive from the problem system and place it in another system and image. I can also iamge the problem system if I place a new hard drive in it (so I've basically ruled out the hard drive being bad (since I can image it in another computer) and the system being bad (since I can place another hard drive in it and image just fine).

I'm lost at this point and can't figure this out. My gut says that the Acronis system is having issues writing the partition tables to the drive, but why would that same drive image just fine in another system?

Any help, insight, or opinion is welcome.

Thanks!

Hello Jim!

We're glad to have you on Acronis Forum! Thank you for finding time to report about the issue.

The error you have specified points onto the issues with the target drive. So could you please kindly

  1. Make sure that the target drive matches the size of the image
  2. Boot from Windows CD and perform chkdsk /r /f command
  3. Wipe and format the target drive before next deployment attempt

These steps will ensure us that the target drive is safe for deployment.

Since you have an outdated version of Acronis Snap Deploy it's a bit difficult to investigate the issue, but I'm sure we have a solution for it. Should the issue persist, please kindly let me know by either leaving a comment here or sending me a PM - and we will proceed with investigation.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
