Snap Deploy Standalone Utility

Thread needs solution

Hello All

We use Snap Deploy 3 and when deploying we use the main agent to deploy an image from the main management console. We obviously purchase and add the license's each time we wish to image a PC.

My question is with the standalone utility. It seems that you can take a master image, deploy using the standalone utility (using the same image on the network) and it does all this without the need for a license.

Have I missed something here, or is this how it should be?

Apart from using the management console, how do these two methods differ?

Thanks

Hello, Matt.
Technically standalone deployment doesn't check available licenses since it is designed for computers isolated from a network or included in a network without Acronis Snap Deploy infrastructure, to be exact, without Acronis OS Deploy Server. But according to the license agreement for every PC deployed you should have a dedicated license.
If you have no problem with networking we highly recommend you to use remote deployment (through Deplioy Server and Deploy agents) instead of Standalone Utility. Please also note the Acronis Universal Deploy option is not available in the standalone mode.
