Snap Deploy + Universal Restore ? ?

Thread needs solution

Hello,
We just received a few trial keys for Universal Restore, and a link to the ISO SnapDeploy3.0UniversalRestore_s_en.exe.

We are currently using Acronis Snap Deploy v3;
Snap Deploy Management Agent v3.0.3329
License Server v2.0.18
OS Deploy Server v3.0.3329

I installed Universal Restore, but when I try to add the keys, it gives me the "Adding New Licenses Failed"

And I cannot even tell if Universal Restore is working/installed correctly; the only instructions I can find on the Acronis site concern True Image+Universal Restore, but we don't have True Image. Does Universal Restore work with Snap Deploy if we don't have True Image?

I read that Universal Deploy does, but are they both different or are they both the same program?

Here's what I read that from :

"Acronis Universal Restore is available only for the following products:

Acronis True Image Echo Server for Windows
Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server
Acronis True Image Echo Workstation
Acronis True Image for Small Business Server (built-in, but uses a separate license key)
Acronus True Image Virtual Edition (built-in)
Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Editions
Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack

Acronis Universal Deploy is available only for the following products:

Acronis Snap Deploy 2.0
Acronis Snap Deploy 3 "

I'm pretty sure the guy who sent us the keys/install was aware we were using Snap Deploy.
Just want to know how I can test to see if Universal Restore is working and/or add our License keys, or if we need to install Universal Deploy instead. It's rather confusing.
Thanks for your help, if you need additional information let us know.

 Hello Larry!

Welcome to our Forum, and thank you for finding time to report about the issue! I understand your concern and will be glad to assist you!

Installation file of Acronis Universal Deploy takes the license directly from the License Server and won't get installed without it. So we should have it added to the License Server.

Unfortunately it's hard to say why adding the licenses failed, but I assume that it happened due to the differences between the installation file and the key itself.

In order to resolve the inconvenience please contact either your Sales representative or support directly (with the screenshot of the License Server and the Acronis Universal Restore keys you have): they have the right of changing the keys and will be glad to help you in resolving the problem.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
