SnapDeploy 3 - Image deployment with WinPE

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm currently testing Acronis Snap Deployment 3 (build 3470) with server and client. What I'm trying to do is creating a WinPE image with custom network drivers and deploy an event-driven image from my server to the client.
I’ve succeeded to create a WinPE and boot the client from it over the network with PXE. The network connection is ok but I don’t know how I deploy an image send from the server. In de Program Files > Acronis folder (on the WinPE) are 3 executable, asdcmd.exe, DeployingTool.exe and OS_patcher.exe. If the DeployingTool.exe is run on the client pc, will the pc become visible on the server BUT it is impossible to send an image to the client.

When de process is started there are some errors in the log of the server:
Info Host ’10.100.100.30’with MAC address ‘xxxxxxxxxxxx’ queries for deployment.
Info Session ‘default’: Join client ’10.100.100.30’.
Info Host ’10.100.100.30’with MAC address ‘xxxxxxxxxxxx’ queries for deployment.
Info Session ‘default’: Join client ’10.100.100.30’.
Error A client ’10.100.100.30’ does not respond.

I’m I doing something wrong? Or is is just not possible?

Thanks in advance.

Hello, Stijn.
Unfortunately, WIN PE cmd (asdcmd.exe) has no connection to Deploy Server, as a result you won't be able to run event-driven deployment for such a target machine. We, Acronis Snap Deploy Team, are improving the current situation and the next version of ASD will include new boot components - Master Image Creator and Deploy Agent in addition to CMD tool. Thus, in the next version you will be able to run event-driven deployment for target machines booted with WIN PE.
