Surface Pro 2 with Windows 8 PXE boot to Acronis Snap Deploy 4 version 540

Thread needs solution

I can't seem to pxe boot into Acronis server using pxe boot. it just sits there and tries to connect and never communicates. All other machines (laptops and desktops) can pxe boot without issue. Is there a specific firmware that fixes this on the Surface Pro 2 by chance? I don't believe my Surface Pro 2 has any firmware updates yet but all other windows updates it appears to have.

I do have a support ticket in with Microsoft to work on that part but just unsure if i'm missing something here or not. I've tried the ethernet dongle (microsoft one) as well as the surface docking station and both have same results.

Thanks!

Hello Roy,

are you able to boot your Surface Pro2 with Acronis bootable media on USB drive locally?

So you can understand if the issue is with Acronis Loader or communication with PXE server.

Thank you.

I can boot using media on Surface Pro 3 to a local USB drive. However I cannot boot into PXE server.
