Surface Pro Image

Thread needs solution

Has anyone been able create an image and deploy it successfully to the Surface Pro? If so, what were the steps and issues you guys encountered? I would like to have an updated image on the server and deploy it to any new Surface Pro's we get. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Will you be doing an image of Windows 8.1 for the Surface Pro? If so, Snap Deploy still does not currently work properly in deploying and finishing an 8.1 image. :(

If it is just 8 you may be fine. I tested up to a point with 8 on a Surface with a USB Ethernet dongle using a PE disc and it seemed ok.

Yes, I need to be able to image and deploy updated Win 8.1 images to all the new Surface Pro 2's. Is there any other solution that you know of that works? I really don't want to setup all the new Surface's we deploy without an imaging solution.

So I was able to create a bootable USB agent, plugged it into the Surface Pro 2 dock with a USB mouse and the Ethernet cable. I can only get up to the Acronis boot where it fails to initialize a network connection. Looks like it's not recognizing the NIC. Guess I'll have to find another solution that will help me create/deploy images to the Surface Pro's we are looking to deploy.
