.tib file cross compatibility, 3.0 to 4.0 beta and reverse

By necessity we are using 4.0 beta, but now may have to concurrently also use 3.0. I would presume .tib files generated with 3.0 are upward compatible to 4.0, but does anybody know if 4.0 .tib files are downward compatible to 3.0?

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the such compatibility, it's highly possible that ASD 3.0 will not recognize the images of ASD 4.0 or will recognize them as corrupted.

We are also using 3501 for our older Dell computers, and 4 beta for newer Dell 790 and 980 machines. v4 beta will recognize images created with 3501, but version 3501 will not recognize images created with 4 beta
