Unable to detect Flash Drive (thumb drive) *urgent*

Thread needs solution

Hi, I have been using a portable hard disk drive 1TB (USB 3.0) from Seagate with Acronis Snap Deploy 4 Standalone Utility. Using a DVD to boot the softwate. When I attempt to clone a new desktop with an image, the source device can detect the portable hard disk drive.

However when i start to use thumb drives (USB 2.0), it was UNABLE TO DETECT THEM. I was using a brandless 16 GB thumb drive and a SanDisk Cruzer 8 GB thumb drive.

I have tried some ways, like plugging the thumb drives before Snap Deploy loaded and even tried plugging them in after it was loaded. Still it was UNABLE TO DETECT THEM.

In UEFI / BIOS, the thumb drives can be detected. The USB legacy has been enabled and the USB ports are usable.

Has anyone experience a similar issue? Can someone help me?

Thank you!

Hi Tim,

We've recently released Acronis Snap Deploy 5 and I would recommend you to upgrade to the newer version.

If you have a valid Acronis Advantage maintenance (or license was purchased less than a year ago and, thus, has initial support period not expired) you can receive upgrades to Acronis Snap Deploy 5 under MyAccount. Please find more details here: Acronis Snap Deploy 5: Upgrade Policy.

Thank you.
