Universal Deploy boot issue

Thread needs solution

Hi

Just installed and configured snap deploy, successfully created a test image and deployed it back to the same machine. Then went to try and deploy the same image onto dissimilar hardware and got stuck.
Ive tracked down the lan, ahci and chipset drivers and put them in a shared folder on the deployment server and then assigned them in the development task for the deploy to that machine.
Deploy goes fine, console says deploy was successful however when i goto boot i get nothing, it skips straight past the hard drive, its not blue screening or anything, it doesnt appear to see the windows boot manager. So i thought id try a windows 7 repair, thinking that will fix it but no that reports im using the wrong install dvd (its definitely a win7 x64 pro sp1 image with the same dvd inserted). Not quite sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated. Again this image worked fine on the original machine so there isn't anything wrong per se with the image itself

I don't think its driver related as its not getting that far, would expect the windows screen (and then BSOD error: 0x0000007b) atleast for drivers to come into play.

edit: more investigation necessary...

Fairly sure its because the machine the image was taken from has an EFI bios and the machine its going to does not. Anyway around this?

Have given up on that one. Now reloading the original machine with win7 on a MBR partition table, 95% sure that will cure it. Rookie move really, hadn't considered that at all when building the initial image, but glad i caught it now as it will be deployed onto 250 machines of varying age over the next month.
