USB disk problems!

I am writing to you, as I am experiencing the same issue, as described in this thread:

With the image stored on an external USB harddrive, and using the Acronis Stand alone utility, the restore function immediately reports a successful restore. (but it isn’t)
With the image stored on a USB flash drive (8 gb SanDisk Cruzer), the restore works fine.
Could you please provide some information as to how to correct this problem.
Using the Acronis Snap deploy management console, build 3389.
Another problem we are experiencing is, that when using network boot, the acronis image system boots up just fine.
But since we changed our AD servers, it is no longer possible to browse to a network location to point at a storage location for images. This is the case both when creating a master image, and when restoring a PC from an image.
As hinted above; this functionality worked fine before we changed our AD servers. All settings were migrated from the old AD servers to the new AD servers…
If you could please also hint a solution to this problem, that would be great.
