Windows 10 1709 using UEFI does not work

Thread needs solution

Can image the PC fine but when I try to restore the image It just fails

with the error in the log:-

Does any one know what this error means ?

Using Windows PE for the PXE Server as the linux pxe stuff does not boot with UEFI Enable

Hello Ian,

Have you tried to deploy the same image with a standalone utility? In short, if the following conditions are true

  • you've created a master image of an UEFI machine
  • you attempt to deploy this master image via PXE to the same machine
  • deployment with a standalone utility works

then this is a known issue on the build 1749. In this case we offer to install a customer build 1755 (here you'll find an FTP link with the installation file https://forum.acronis.com/comment/426612#comment-426612).

Note: you'll need to re-create a master image on 1755.
