WinPE Builder - What's It For?

Thread needs solution

So... being SO sick & tired of getting headaches using Symantec's products, I'm trying out and getting familiar with Acronis Snap Deploy, and so far am really, really liking what I'm seeing. However, a couple questions:

What is the Acronis Snap Deploy PE Builder for? As in, what's an example scenario in which I might use it?

Is it a requirement for deploying to multiple computers via mulicast?

If I do use it, what version of WAIK should I use? 2.0? Or the new one for Windows 7? I've read some threads on it saying that the newest WAIK has issues with creating bootable media.

I greatly appreciate any help this forum can provide!

Well... I did some more reading of the user guide and it appears that one would want to use WinPE if they needed some more advanced functionality that Acronis itself coudln't provide.

My main task would be re-imaging a group of computers, sometimes with different hardware, at the same time. Would using WinPE be any better than using what Acronis provides?
