Why is my Snap Deploy ISO not working on 32-bit virtual machines?

Thread needs solution

If Snap Deploy is compatible with 32-bit systems why does the ISO I created give me problems when I try to create a 32-bit Windows 10 backup?
If I try to make a 64-bit Windows 10 backup I have no problems.
I am making a backup of a system installed on VirtualBox and I get this error and would like to know how I can fix it.
This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU.
Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.

I created the ISO file on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Do I need to install Snap Deploy on a 32-bit OS and recreate the ISO?
Thank you very much.

Hi!

According to https://kb.acronis.com/content/60140

"If media builder is installed on a machine with 64-bit CPU, this media will only be able to boot on machines with 64-bit CPU.

If you see the following message on media boot, then you need to install media builder on a machine with 32-bit CPU and create a new bootmedia for machines with 32-bit CPU:

This Kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU"

I have done as you said and created my boot media from the exact same computer that I want to be able to use it on, but I'm still getting this error. Is there something else that needs to be done?

Thanks

Hello Cory ,

generally, installing a bootable media builder on a 32bit machine and creating a media from there should be enough. If you still experience this issue, please open a support ticket for investigation. We'd be grateful for your sharing the results of the investigation with the forum community. Thank you!
